What is the difference between a drop and a withdrawal?

When a student drops a class, a refund is issued and the course is removed from academic history. A withdrawal is when no money is refunded and a grade of W is assigned for the course.

Additional details about drops and withdrawals can be found in the College Catalog or on the required Schedule Adjustment Form.

Please note, all drops and withdrawals must be completed by the dates outlined in the academic calendar.
