Setting Up Your Mobile Phone Email

Edison allows Faculty and Staff to send and recieve email via their mobile phone.  Please note these settings are different depending on whether you are on Exchange Outlook or use Portal Email.  If you are unsure whether you are on Exchange/Outlook or Portal Email, please contact the IT Helpdesk.

Portal Email Settings (STUDENTS/SOME FACULTY):

• Connection Type: IMAP
• Incoming Server:  mail.edison.edu
• Outgoing Server:  smtp.edison.edu  (required authentication to be checked)
• Please note that ONLY Faculty and Staff can use the outgoing email server due to spam related issues.

Exchange Outlook Settings (FACULTY/STAFF ONLY):

• Incoming Server:  exchange.edison.edu
• Domain/Username:  USE YOUR NETWORK LOGIN ID  (Some versions of Andriod may ask for your email address)
• Leave the SSL Connection Option Unchecked
