Eighty percent of the residents in Port Charlotte didn't grow up here. Most of us don't understand even the basic history of our new "homeland." Are we now Floridians or are we still Northern snowbirds? Jackie will help the new-comers learn about the history of this area. She will use some classroom lessons and she will also take students to the Charlotte County Historical Center. Students will leave the course with a new appreciation for their new home.
