The Americas in Revolution - Edison State College Campus
Taught by David Marder 10/29 - 12/10 (NO class 11/26) The revolution that created the United States was only one of many American revolutions. From 1776 to 1825 wars for independence erupted throughout the Western Hemisphere - from Boston to Buenos Aires - creating 19 new nations! As a follow-up to last year's popular "Conquest of the Americas," this course looks at the common roots of these dramatic events, and the role which the American Revolution played in what were the South and Central American colonies of the principal European nations.
