From the Office of Student Life: Talk Club Meeting
Are you interested in meeting new friends? What about discussing issues, concerns and ideas important in your life? Facebook and texting are great ways to share information, but electronically communicating does not always give you the chance to connect the same way face-to-face communication allows.
T.A.L.K. time together can better be described as a discussion time than a meeting. Each week a topic is selected and discussed among those members present.
Discussion topics are provided by T.A.L.K.'s members, officers and advisor. Examples of topics include issues relating to:
Personal life (e.g., dating, family issues, physical and mental health) Professional development (e.g. career planning, interviewing, leadership) Community/societal concerns (e.g., human trafficking, crime, ethics)
Discussion times and place:
Every Wednesday from 4:00- 5:00 p.m. beginning January 23rd, 2013
The TALK Club will meet in room in "Lighthouse Commons". Students attending should meet in the lobby, student identification required.
