Charlotte Campus Dual Enrollment

The Dual Enrollment program offers high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors the opportunity to earn credit towards both high school graduation and college. Courses are offered on the college campus or on the campus of the various public high schools. Readiness for this program is determined through an examination of the student's high school GPA and scores earned on the ACT-E, SAT-R, or FCELPT. The student is not allowed full-time status, and so may enroll for a maximum of 11 credits per semester. Sophomores may enroll in a maximum of 6 credits per semester (except Collier County). Tuition is waived for this program and textbooks are available at no cost to public school students.

The Early Admission program offers rising high school seniors the opportunity to enroll exclusively at Edison College as full-time students (12 or more credits per semester). All credit earned is applied towards both high school graduation and college. High school GPA and scores earned on the ACT-E, SAT-R, or FCELPT are used to qualify a student for this program. Tuition is waived for this program and textbooks are available at no cost to public high school students.

Students participating in any of these accelerated programs must first see their guidance counselor, complete the admissions process form, and submit an Accelerated High School Registration Approval Form signed by the high school principal or designee and the student.
