Event: Campus Tour Date & Time: Campus tours are available by appointment on the first Tuesday of every month at 10am and the first Thursday of every month at 5:30pm Location: Student Services Building Description: Part of selecting a college is experiencing what the campus looks like, what it feels like: seeing firsthand how students interact with each other, learning about available services, meeting faculty and staff, and asking questions. Prospective students and their guests are invited to experience the Charlotte Campus of Edison State College by attending a campus tour and information session. Campus tours are available by appointment the first Tuesday of every month at 10:00am and the first Thursday of every month at 5:30pm. Event: Go Higher-Get Accepted For High School Seniors Date and Time: Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 5:30pm Location: Edison State College Charlotte Campus Auditorium Description: The Charlotte Campus is partnering with Facts.org and the Division of Community Colleges to present a program for high school seniors and their parents. The program will feature topics such as how to choose a college major, career exploration, steps to becoming a an Edison student, applying for financial aid and finding scholarship money. Event: Resume Review Day Date and Time: by appointment Location: Learning Resources Building, Academic Success Center, Room 104 Description: A great resume can be the ticket to getting the job you want! Learn how to write a resume that communicates your skills honestly and powerfully. Learn how to focus on what employers want. Bring in your rough draft or just come in to get information to get you started. With a little hard work and some help you will have a resume you can use as a marketing tool to showcase your job-related experience and talents. Edison State College has assessments that can help you find a major that fits your interests and personality. Also, if you know your major but are unsure of what you can do with it, Career Services, within the Academic Success Center, can help you find possible career options in your interest area.
