The legacy of famed Italian architect, Andrea Palladio, in a deep, personal appreciation for art and education on the part of Dr. and Mrs. Richard H. Rush converge in this very special exhibit debuting on the Lee Campus of Edison State College.
In celebration of the 500th birthday of famed Italian architect, Andrea Palladio, undoubtedly considered one of the leading architects in the history of modern civilization, this exhibit offers a unique perspective into Palladio's work through Villa Cornaro, one of this most well known 16th century Italian villas. Villa Cornaro is often cited as the undisputed most copied piece of architecture in the western world.
To more thoroughly understand the culture and everyday life of 16th and 17th century Italy, the exhibit also offers a glimpse into one of Italy's most influential historical periods through a series of Old Master's Paintings and antiques from the early 1500s through the early 18th century.
