Upon the completion of the first three year cycle of the Decade of Promise Strategic Plan in 2006, it was time to develop new priorities, goals, and objectives. In February that year, Dr. Walker, District President, began to lay the groundwork for the review and update of the vision, values, mission, and strategic plan for the College.
While the Executive Council and District Board of Trustees (supported by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness) led the inquiry process, the entire college community participated in "Visioning" the college's future through an eight-question open-ended survey, available to all students, faculty, and staff on the portal. This input and discussions among college councils and committees resulted in the strategic plan approved by the District Board of Trustees on May 22, 2007.
