Facilities Planning and Management continues to improve the functional efficiency of the campus by providing planning, design and the listed Construction Projects.

Featured Project Collier County Campus: Child Care Center The project consists of a 10,000 square foot, one story center located on the Collier County Campus. The new facility will provide child care services for the students, local community and Edison State College staff. A PDF file of the site and location is available at this Link. Lee Campus Richard R. Rush Library Remodeling Expanding resource needs for the college are being met by expanding the library onto the first floor of Building "J". This along with the remodeling of the second and third floors will increase study and resource areas to meet the college's needs. Estimated Completion Dates:      Design Phase          - January - May 2007.      Bid Phase               - June - July 2007.      Construction Begins - July 2007.   Information Technology First Floor Remodeling Remodeling of the first floor of Information Technology is complete. Construction of new offices, a facelift of existing rooms and upgrades to the heating and cooling systems provides the needed facilities for the expanding college information hub. Project Completed: April 2007.   Facility Maintenance Workshop Remodeling Built in 1966, the Maintenance Workshop has served the college's ever changing needs for over forty years. The remodeled shop areas and additional garage areas provide facility space needed for the college's continued growth and maintenance. Project Completed: April 2007.   Thomas Edison Reflection Patio The newly constructed patio area, northeast of the B.B. Mann Hall, features a lifelike statue of Thomas Edison reflecting on thoughts of the day. Project Completed: November 2006. Collier Campus Campus Lighting Upgrade The campus lighting upgrade connects into the college's energy management system to provide efficient control and energy use of the lighting. Project Completed: February 2007.   Heating and Cooling Classroom Upgrades Replacement of existing room heating and cooling systems are complete. The new systems connect to the energy management system for added control and more efficient operation. Project Completed: February 2007.   Exterior Envelope Repairs Completed building exterior repairs provide the campus with a fresh look for the beginning of the next term. Project Completed: February 2007.   Charlotte Campus Hurricane Repairs Hurricane Charley and Wilma repairs are complete. Project Completed: February 2007.
