The Office of Public Safety and Security is committed to providing a safe, secure, and orderly environment in which teaching, learning and administrative operations of the College have the opportunity to excel. But, the safety of our campuses is a cooperative effort of students, faculty, staff and visitors and all of us must assume responsibility for our own personal safety as well as the protection of our personal and college property.

The office of Public Safety and Security, part of the Department of Facilities Planning and Management, with the main office on the Lee campus has a district manager and a coordinator along with licensed, uniformed Wackenhut™ security officers who patrol all campus facilities twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year. The Charlotte and Collier campuses each have an office and the Hendry-Glades Center has a security officer on duty.

Access is provided to campus facilities during normal operating hours. Prior arrangements should be made in writing to the Public Safety office for admittance to campus buildings after hours. Edison College does not have residential housing for students.
