Edison State College

Cost To Attend

We know that a major concern facing students and parents is the cost of college attendance. In order to assist you, we have listed the average costs for both in-state and out-of-state full-time students enrolled in an associate degree program as well as for both in-state and out-of-state full-time students enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.

See current tuition and fee charges only

The amounts listed are the yearly estimates of both the average charges billed by the college and the out-of-pocket expenses faced by typical Edison State College students (attending school during both fall and spring semesters) and their families.

Students will owe to the college the tuition and fees actually billed to them; tuition charges listed in bold in the example below are forfull-time attendance for the 2012–13 academic year (fall and spring semesters).Students should consult the college catalog and cashier’s office concerning the (higher) multiple attempt tuition charge. Tuition will vary from the amounts shown for students not enrolled in 12 credits in fall semester and 12 credits in spring semester. Fees are an estimate of what will be billed by the college because these will vary based on a student’s course enrollment, program of study, and other factors.

Out-of-pocket charges are not billed by the college but are included in the example below so that students and families can use these figures to help plan for "spending money" and other cash needed by students. Housing costs can vary considerably based on where a student is living; a rough average for room and board expenses is included in the total budget amount.

Edison State College has on-campus housing. Rates range from $3,000 to $3,330, plus a nonrefundable $100 reservation fee, persemester;meals are not included (therates given here are for the Fall 2012 semester). If a student lives in on-campus housing, housing costs will be billed by the college.

Students who have a surplus of financial aid—Pell Grant and available scholarships—above their billed charges are allowed to charge their books at the bookstore only during published dates each semester.
