Indirect Cost Guidelines – Grants

Our federally approved indirect cost rate is 35%, and Edison State College is authorized to charge this rate on all grants it receives unless otherwise instructed by the granting agency. Edison State College has approved the following guidelines that all departments should adhere to and build into their budgets when preparing a grant application:

The rates listed are for use on grants, contracts and other agreements with the federal government, subject to certain terms and conditions.

*Total direct costs excluding capital expenditures (building, individual items of equipment, renovations, etc.) and that portion of each subaward in excess of $25,000.
