Recent Campus News & Announcements

Lucinda KelleyWelcome from the Hendry Glades Center Dean's Office:

Welcome to the Hendry/Glades Center of Edison College.  We are dedicated to providing convenient access to virtually all of the services offered by Edison College. Our staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and they are able to provide individual attention for the needs of students from Hendry and Glades counties.  Our faculty is committed to providing excellent educational opportunities for our students, and we all look forward to getting to know you!

We are experiencing tremendous growth in our area and we anticipate moving from our present site, on the campus of La Belle High School, to our own new Hendry/Glades campus within the next few years.  Edison College, Hendry/Glades Center, received a gift of land from the Paul family of Hendry County, and the Bonita Bay Group. This gift of land along with our “Help Grow a Campus” capital campaign will enable the institution to build a one thousand student campus in Western Hendry County near the intersection of State Roads 80 and 29.  This campus will become an educational and cultural center that will fulfill the college’s mission and allow the institution to house faculty for the two and four year programs. Many generations of students in our area will be able to benefit because of the generosity of these distinguished contributors.

We are excited about the possibilities that appear on the horizon and invite you to join with us in helping to build an educational institution that we all can be proud of—one that will continue to contribute to the economic and social progress of our area by providing an education that is equal to the challenges of tomorrow.

Warmest regards,

Lucinda Kelley,
Dean, Hendry/Glades Services
