A Welcome from the Campus President, Dr. Noreen Thomas
Welcome to the Lee Campus of Edison State College. The Lee Campus is a vibrant, beautiful and exciting education center serving more than 8,000 students each semester. Located in Fort Myers, our students enjoy academic excellence in sunny Southwest Florida.
Student success is our top priority. The Lee Campus offers engaging and challenging academic courses combined with student clubs and campus activities designed to enhance our students’ overall college experience. The Lee Campus faculty and staff work to help every student take advantage of the wonderful opportunities available to help them grow and discover their personal best.
Edison State is a teaching college. Our faculty members are held to the highest standards in education. Our faculty is comprised of published authors, practicing nurses, lawyers, bankers, business people, and much more. Many faculty members bring their experience from area companies into the classrooms at Edison State College.
We are proud of our many nationally renowned academic programs including one of the largest nursing programs in the United States. Beyond our outstanding Allied Health programs our Education and Workforce training programs enjoy tremendous respect throughout our service area.
In addition to our outstanding academic programs, the Lee Campus is a hub of artistic inspiration in Southwest Florida. Students and the community take great pride in the Arts and Culture Center on the Lee Campus. The Center includes the only art gallery outside of the Guggenheim to bear the name of the legendary artist Bob Rauschenberg. The Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall
attracts world class shows and events. Our newly remodeled Richard H. Rush Library
includes a special collections exhibit that provides a platform for our top notch courses in the arts.
Stroll through our beautiful campus, sit and enjoy the Mary Jo Sanders Garden of Inspiration or request a meeting room for your next event in the Madeline R. Taeni Hall. We’re happy to invite the community to enjoy all that the Lee Campus has to offer.
I invite you to visit the Lee Campus and see for yourself why this is a school of choice for so many bright, eager and successful students. I hope you’ll join us.
Sincerely,
Dr. Noreen Thomas, Lee Campus President and Executive Vice President
