ARTS Edison is the latest edition to the world class offerings at Edison State College. From the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, to the only gallery outside of New York City’s Guggenheim to bear the name of the great Bob Rauschenberg, Arts Edison is a hub of artistic inspiration right here in Southwest Florida.
The arts are an integral part of the human experience; serving as windows into diverse cultures, bringing new ideas to the forefront and offering new experiences and appreciations," explains Ron Bishop, curator of the Bob Rauschenberg Gallery at Edison State. "Edison State College has embraced that concept for many years; ARTS Edison is one more step the college has taken for our students and the community alike. I think it is the leadership the community expects of Edison State, and it carries a powerful message- acknowledging the importance of art and culture in learning and in our lives. I’m very proud of this initiative and what it symbolizes."
Arts Edison has a dedication to excellence, offering programs that create opportunities for students and the community alike to experience various traditions in the visual and performing arts, while gaining a richer understanding of life. By providing an inspirational setting where regional, national, and international cultural activities educate and entertain, Arts Edison embraces the diversity of Southwest Florida. Arts Edison offers an array of affordable cultural opportunities designed to appeal, and be accessible, to all.
