There are three major citations styles: MLA (Modern Language Association), used in literature, the arts, and humanities; APA (American Psychological Association), used in education, nursing, psychology, and the sciences; and the Chicago Manual of Style, used in history. Each citation style has its own unique formatting, organization, and required pieces of information.
Below is a list of online and print guides for the three major citation styles. Print guides are available at each ESC Campus Library. The online guides are courtesy of Purdue University’s Online Writing Lab (OWL).
