Now that you are acquainted with search methods, it’s time to learn how to use the Library’s search tools. Edison Library’s two major search tools are the online catalog and suite of subscription databases. Let’s begin with Edison Library’s online catalog.

What is an online catalog? An online catalog is a database that lists all of the books, journals, magazines, newspapers, DVDs, videos, maps, e-Books, and other materials owned by a particular library. Edison State College Library’s Online Catalog is also called LINCC, which stands for Library Information Network for Community Colleges.
