Lesson 3: Search by College
Now that you have arrived at the homepage of the Library’s online catalog, let’s review the many ways in which you can limit your search. One way is to search by College.
The online catalog is set to search Edison College Library’s Collection. However, you can search the online catalogs of all Florida community college libraries by selecting All Community Colleges in the At: drop-down menu.
What is the advantage of selecting a particular college?
Most of the time, you will leave the catalog set to search Edison College. If you do not find what you need at an Edison College Library, you should widen your search to All Community Colleges to improve your chances of finding relevant resources. However, you will need to request materials owned by other libraries online. But more on that later.
