Unit 6: Search Tools: Subscription Databases
Lesson 8: Sample Search: Search Page
To demonstrate exactly how searching a subscription database works, let’s do a sample search in the database Academic Search Premier.
First, log onto Academic Search Premier. (See Lesson 2 of Tutorial 6 for log on instructions.) To find out if Academic Search Premier has any articles about the Underground Railroad:
- Select Full Text
- Select Periodical from the Publication Type drop-down menu
- Enter the search term “Underground Railroad” in the search field
- Click search
