Notice of Proposed Rule Development
The District Board of Trustees, Edison State College announces that rule development is taking place as follows:
Subject: Dismissal, Return to Annual Contract - Continuing Contract Personnel
Purpose: To establish a District Board of Trustee policy regarding the dismissal of personnel on continuing contract and the return of employees on continuing contract to annual contract.
Legal authority FS 1001.64; FAC 6A-14.0411.
A copy of the preliminary draft, if available may be obtained by contacting the Office of General Counsel, Mark E. Lupe, Edison State College, 8099 College Parkway, Fort Myers, Florida 33919-5566. Any person may request a public hearing by contacting Mr. Lupe in writing with specific request within 21 days after date of publication of this notice.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULE ADOPTION/REPEAL/AMENDMENT
The District Board of Trustees, Edison State College will consider adoption/ repeal/amendment of the proposed rule listed below, for which the notice of rule development was published in the March 24, 2012 edition of the News Press, Classified Section, under Notice of Action, at a public meeting to be held as follows:

Rule Title: Dismissal, Return to Annual Contract - Continuing Contract Personnel
Rule No: 6Hx6:5.05
Summary and Effect: To establish a District Board of Trustee policy regarding the dismissal of personnel on continuing contract and the return of employees on continuing contract to annual contract. The proposed rule would define the basis for termination of a continuing contract employee or for returning an employee on a continuing contract to an annual contract. In addition, the proposed rule would provide and define a procedure for which such action could be taken.
