New Member on Presidential Search Advisory Committee
A member of the Edison State College Presidential Search Advisory Committee has resigned. Darol Carr, an attorney in Charlotte County, cannot attend all of next week’s interviews with presidential candidates due to scheduling conflicts.
Ann Berlam, Chair of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee and Chair of college’s Board of Trustees, has appointed Cort Frohlich to replace Carr on the committee. Frohlich is a senior partner at Wilkins Frohlich, P.A. in Port Charlotte. He also serves as the Charlotte Campus Board Chairman for the Edison State College Foundation.
Frohlich and Berlam join 11 others on the committee including Joyce Rollins, Dr. Allen Weiss, Tom Conner, Dr. John Huysman, Miguel Fernandez, Amanda Pollitt, Don Ransford, Christine Davis, Andrae Jones, Charlene Wolfe and Dania Flores.
This group will interview all nine presidential candidates on Monday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 15 on the Lee Campus.
The committee will recommend three to five finalists to the Edison State District Board of Trustees on Tuesday, May 15.
Information about the presidential search process is available to the public at edison.edu/president/search/. The website also includes the job description, presidential qualifications and a comprehensive position profile.
