Leap into March with a Continuing Education Class

SPANISH IS FUN FOR BEGINNERS
This Spanish conversational course will enable students to learn in a fun way. You will learn vocabulary, grammatical rules of Spanish, and how to employ both when speaking the language. You will learn gender, the conjugation of both regular and irregular verbs, and the reading and writing of simple sentences. Classes run for 6 weeks on Thursday evenings from 6pm to 8:30pm. Starts on March 1st to April 12th, cost is $165. Textbook not included.

ITALIAN FOR BEGINNERS - PART 2
By the end of the 6 week session the students will be able to name objects around them, count, read and comprehend short texts, engage in brief conversations on everyday topics (family life, weather, ordering a meal at the restaurant, asking for directions, etc). Classes are held for 6 weeks on Monday evenings from 6pm to 8:30pm starting March 12th to April 16th. Cost is $145, textbook from level one will be used in this class.

YOGA CLASSES FOR BEGINNERS
Yoga is known round the country as the wellness exercise for the ages. After beginning Yoga you will notice increased flexibility, improved concentration and focus, a greater sense of balance as well as an overall sense of calm. Yoga has also been associated with a decrease in symptoms for conditions such as depression and anxiety. This 6 week course will run Wednesdays, March 14th to April 18th, from 5:00pm- 6:00pm. The cost is $90.00.

COMPUTERS FOR BEGINNERS
This hands-on friendly and fun introductory class addresses what a computer is, what it can do for you, and how to accomplish basic tasks. Topics include computer terminology, managing files and folder, copying and pasting, installing and removing applications, customizing settings, printing and scanning, and more. Windows XP will be used in the class, but most concepts will apply to various operating systems. Classes run for 4 sessions on Thursday evenings from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Class held on March 15th – April 5th cost is $99.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
So many people get new cameras and besides looking into the lens and clicking the buttons, they don’t truly understand how to take a photograph. This is a non-technical digital photography course that is focused on the aesthetics of composition and lighting. Instructor will be using lectures, examples, and focused practice. The class assumes you can use your digital camera. This 6 week course will run on Thursdays, March 15th to April 19th, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Cost is $160. Please bring your camera to class.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN TRAINING PROGRAM
This course is designed to prepare the participant for eligibility to become a Pharmacy Technician. In addition, participants will be qualified to apply for certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and will meet the training requirements of the State Board of Pharmacy. This 14 week course combines 84 hours of classroom instruction with 80-hour externship coordinated by ESC to provide student with a complete learning experience. Pre-requisites include no felonies, or misdemeanors related to the use, sale or purchase of drugs, no outstanding traffic violations or other legal issues (must be settled before the externship), basic computer, high school diploma or GED and commitment to the rigorous 14-week course schedule. sessions on Thursday evenings from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Class held on March 15th – April 5th cost is $99.
