SCREENWRITING FOR BEGINNERS
Analyze classic Hollywood movies, learn storytelling conventions, master basics screenplay writing (screenplay format, cinematic structure, movie concept, characterization, dialogue, story, plot and theme, “selling your script”). Complete the first 30 pages/act 1 of a screenplay.
Materials are provided by the instructor. You must have a home computer & internet access.

MOVIEMAKING FOR BEGINNERS
Work 1-on-1 with a professional movie producer. Learn technical & aesthetic basics of digital moviemaking. Students work as a film crew to produce one or more final short films.

KIDBIZ: THE BUSINESS OF ADULTS WRITING FOR THE CHILDREN’S MARKET
Do you have a knack for telling stories? Do you love sharing information in a fun, engaging way? Learn the ins-&-outs of children’s publishing. All writing levels encouraged. Sharing and feedback during every class.

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE - New beginning for ESL Level 1

WEB DESIGN FOR BEGINNERS
Three-week class includes web terminology, web page creation with Dream Weaver, uploading images. Explore design options, critique existing websites, and complete a personal website by the end of the course.
Students need a Flash/jump drive 1 GB or higher and trial versions of Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver (free 30 day trial). Link to:
