Edison State College Employee Chosen to be Fellow |

Mr. Kevin Shriner, Associate Dean First Year Experience and Academic Success at Edison State College, has been chosen to be a Fellow for the 2011 National Summer Data Policy Institute on the datasets of the National Center for Education Statistics and National Science Foundation in Washington, D.C.
“Knowledge of the NCES and NSF data bases enables us to utilize national data to better serve and understand our student population,” explains Shriner.
At Edison State College, Shriner’s district -wide responsibilities include the Quality Enhancement Plan, implementing the First Year Experience Program, the Cornerstone Experience course and the Academic Success services which include peer tutoring, math and writing centers, and retention strategies. Shriner is in his last semester of coursework toward completing his Doctorate Degree in Higher Education Leadership at Nova Southeastern University.
