CPR- Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider
This one day course is geared towards the interests and needs of the health professions students and taught by healthcare professionals. It offers a two year certification at completion of the course, which is required for healthcare students and healthcare workers. Upon completion of the course, students will receive their AHA (American Heart Association) Card. Our next class runs from 3pm to 5pm on Friday, August 5th, cost is $70 and includes textbook.
ESOL SIDE BY SIDE
This ESOL course is mainly programmed for Spanish speakers, and since they are the majority of enrollees, the subject is taught phonetically. This allows students to learn English quickly. This 8 week class is held on Monday evenings from 6pm to 8:30pm starting August 1st to September 26th. Cost is $205, textbooks not included in price.
GERMAN FOR BEGINNERS
This course is designed for students with no previous knowledge of German. The instructional goal is to develop basic vocabulary and understanding of the structure of the German language. This is a 6 weeks class held on Monday evenings from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Cost of course is $145 and does not include textbook. Call our office for details. CLINICAL MEDICAL ASSISTANT W/EXTERNSHIP
This program was designed to provide, through classroom and clinical instruction, and basic systems overview of the role of the medical assistant in a clinical setting. This course provides 162 hours of classroom instruction plus 160 hour externship-(Which can be done at your speed). Course begins on August 2nd to October 29th. Class held on Tuesday and Thursdays from 6pm to 9:30pm and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm. Cost is $2,795. textbooks included.
SPANISH IS FUN – ADVANCED
The Spanish is Fun Advanced Class is directed towards gaining a greater competency in the spoken language. Classes run for 6 weeks on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 8:30pm. Starts on August 2nd to September 6th, cost is $165. textbook not included.
SPANISH IS FUN – INTERMEDIATE
This Spanish Conversational course picks up where the beginners class ends. Classes run for 6 weeks on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 8:30pm. Starts on August 3rd to September 7th, cost is $165, textbook not included.
SPANISH IS FUN FOR BEGINNERS
This Spanish conversational course will enable students to learn in a fun way. You will learn vocabulary, grammatical rules of Spanish, and how to employ both when speaking the language. Classes run for 6 weeks on Thursday evenings from 6pm to 8:30pm. Starts on August 4th to September 8th, cost is $165, textbook not included.
MODERN GREEK FOR BEGINNERS
With this course, students will learn to speak Modern Greek more quickly than they may expect. With this communicative and dynamic approach, they will rapidly find themselves speaking in a new language. Classes run for 6 weeks on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 8:30pm. Starts on August 4th to September 8th, cost is $145. textbook not included.
ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR CS4
The Adobe Illustrator course will give you the basics as well as the opportunity to develop further skills and become proficient at using this powerful layout program. This class meets for 4 sessions on Monday evenings starting August 8th to 29th from 5:30pm to 9:30pm. Cost is $350.
WEBDESIGN WITH DREAMWEAVER FOR BEGINNERS
Students will learn web terminology; create web pages using Dream Weaver software, upload digital images,
explore design options, and much more. This 3 day class will be held on Tuesday evenings, August 9th to 23rd from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Cost is $220.
YOGA FOR BEGINNERS
Classes are held on Wednesdays evenings for 6 sessions beginning on August 10th to September 14th. The cost is $90. Class is limited to 15 students.
