Edison State College Associate Dean, First Year Experience and Academic Success Earns Doctorate Degree

Kevin N. Shriner Ed.D, Associate Dean, First Year Experience and Academic Success, completed his doctorate degree in August from Nova Southeastern University. Shriner earned a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership. Shriner was also the recipient of two fellowships from the Association of Institutional Research and the National Center for Education Statistics during his degree program.

In October, Dr. Shriner will be presenting at the Southern Association for Institutional Research annual conference a presentation based on his dissertation entitled “Effects of College Credit Courses on Developmental Students' Success and the Impact on First Year Advising”.
