Academic Honesty Policy -

We are dedicated to maintaining an environment which fosters student success. The College endeavors to protect the rights of students and also expects all students to act responsibly.
Expectations are placed upon you by the College, its faculty, administration, staff, and other students.  Attendance at the College is viewed as a privilege.
Edison reserves the right to establish rules and regulations to foster these ideals and protect the interest of the College.
Each student is subject to federal and state laws, respective county and municipal ordinances, and all rules and regulations of the College.

A Word on Academic Dishonesty -

Academic dishonesty includes cheating. Academic dishonesty also includes plagiarism.
Academic dishonesty is taken very seriously by the college and any violation will result in serious consequences, including failing assignments, failing courses, and further disciplinary procedures.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act:

WHAT IS FERPA? -

  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended (also sometimes referred to as the Buckley Amendment)
  • Federal law regarding the privacy of student records and the obligations of the institution, primarily in the areas of release of the records and the access provided to these records
  • Any educational institution that receives funds under any program administered by the U.S. Secretary of Education is bound by FERPA requirements
  • Institutions that fail to comply with FERPA may have funds administered by the Secretary of Education withheld.
