I am pleased to welcome you to Edison State College, a vibrant four-year state college.
Edison serves over 17,000 students at campuses in Lee, Charlotte and Collier counties, a center serving Hendry/Glades counties, and through Edison Online. Our students may choose to complete a bachelor's degree, prepare for university transfer with an associate in arts degree, launch a new career with an associate in science degree or certificate, or update their skills one course at a time. Our tuition is affordable and the classes are small. Faculty and staff are dedicated to student success, and Edison State College’s reputation for quality is affirmed in the excellent transfer performance of its graduates matriculating to state universities. Over the last three years, the average GPA of Edison State College transfer students has been higher than that of students who entered the State University System as freshmen.
Thousands more come to one of our campuses for professional development and leisure classes, or to enjoy the variety of cultural enrichment opportunities available. We invite you to view an exhibition in Lee Campus’ Bob Rauschenberg Gallery, or enjoy a Broadway show at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall. The Collier Campus offers musical performances from time to time in the Holland T. Salley auditorium, and the Charlotte Campus’ Delta Psi Omega drama club stages productions each fall and spring. And don’t forget to make plans to attend the POPS @ Sunset Concerts held each October under the stars at the Charlotte and Lee campuses to benefit our students and programs.
I encourage you to visit one of our campuses soon and see for yourself what a special place Edison State College is.
Most sincerely,
Kenneth P. Walker
District President
