SOAR Program

What is SOAR?

SOAR (Student Opportunities for Achievement and Rewards) is Edison College's student success program and is designed to help students become better learners. SOAR is located in Q-215 on the Lee Campus in Fort Myers. Students can visit with SOAR staff personally about goals or obstacles they are encountering that relate to their academic progress. SOAR's focus is teaching students active learning techniques that will enhance memory skills and promote more efficient use of their study time.

We offer free workshops that cover many areas vital to student success.  A sampling of workshops offered on a regular basis: Blast Distractions, Power Learning, Tackle Test Anxiety, Communicate with Confidence, Take Charge of Your Time, Fear of Math, & Think Critically.
