All students, staff, and faculty at Edison have access to a personal email account and calendar account. Portal technology is also available to students through the myEdisonState Portal. Within the portal, students have access to a variety of tools, including instant access to online courses, grades, and their email. The Portal can also be customized so students can recieve information targeted specifically for them.
The Technology Strategic Planning Council oversees the technology at Edison. Recommendations for new technology, upgrades to current technology, or general policy decisions are presented to the Council for review and implementation.
Students and faculty have access to state-of-the-art computing facilities, including 73 computer labs housing over 1,200 computers. Edison also offers 98 multimedia classrooms to enhance the learning experience.
In addition to the opportunity to take advantage of these technological advances on campus, students can go through orientation, check grades, check calendar and email and even take classes online from a computer at home.
The Technology Services Division mission is to deliver best-of-class technology-based systems and services to the Edison State College community in the most cost-effective manner while providing Edison State College students, faculty and staff with a reliable, secure, and managed technology infrastructure which facilitates the transfer of knowledge and promotes the ethical use of technology.
