Submitting Proposals for Workshop
Development and Presentation
The Edison State College Professional Development Committee is requesting proposals from all Edison full-time and adjunct faculties to offer workshops during the 2008-2009 academic year in one of the topic areas identified as of most interest to faculty. The committee has established a goal of offering several workshops throughout the spring semester at the Lee, Collier, and Charlotte campuses. Staff and Professional Development funds will be used to pay an honorarium of $300 to each faculty member or faculty team selected to offer a workshop on the campus designated in the proposal. An honorarium of $200 will be paid for subsequent presentations of the same workshop on other campuses. Faculty are asked to choose from one of the following topics, or to suggest a topic in their area of expertise.

Proposals should be submitted on the Request to Offer Workshop form to Heidi Swanson, Staff Assistant either by email (hswanson@edison.edu) or through campus mail. Proposals will be evaluated by the Professional Development Committee on the basis of relevance of topic and evidence of an interactive and engaging manner of presentation. A maximum of 9 proposals will be accepted. No more than one proposal per faculty member (individually or as part of a team) will be accepted unless submissions are fewer than 9.
