After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Lance Schreiber decided to serve our nation by becoming an Officer in the United States Navy. While in the military, he taught Math, Chemistry, and Radiation Fundamentals at the Naval Nuclear Power School. After his military career and obtaining a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mr. Schreiber spent several years as an adjunct professor of Math at our very own Edison State College.

Professor “S” then decided to join the ranks of the high school world and received a dual certification in Chemistry and Mathematics as well as certification in Athletic Coaching. For the last two years, he has taught Chemistry and Marine Science at Ida S. Baker High School. Coach Schreiber is very involved with coaching athletics and still participates in a semi-pro baseball league himself. In 2011 he led the Bulldog Bowling team to the State Finals. His son is currently a Sophomore at Ida Baker where he participates in 3 sports.

Now, with great joy and anticipation, he has joined the Spartan team as the Freshman Math Teacher covering both Algebra 1 and Geometry. “This was an opportunity to do something very special that I would never pass up!”
