Ms Hantzeas is a native of Greece, has been teaching languages for 12 years and is proficient in 7 languages. From a very young age, she realized that languages and teaching were her passion. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a double major in Spanish and French, and then moved to Europe where she taught English as a second language. When she returned to the States she taught English, Spanish, French, and Italian at private Language Schools such as Berlitz in Miami. When she made Fort Myers her home, she taught French and Spanish at Gateway Charter H.S, where she chaired the Modern Language Department. There she developed and implemented comprehensive lesson plans that accommodate all levels of learners, from beginners to Advanced Placement ones. She strived to integrate multicultural units, manipulative, and grammar worksheets to vary lessons and consolidate concepts and she focused on creative learning environment, student motivation, and cooperative learning. Ms Hantzeas is honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to share her love and knowledge of languages and cultures with her students.
