For decades, it has been Edison State College’s driving mission to produce a population of innovative and informed college graduates. The Undergraduate Research Center (URC) provides information for students interested in embarking on research projects. The site outlines financial support, the process for enrolling, and the best means of locating a professor whose research interests compliment your own. The Undergraduate Research Center is located in Robinson Hall Room 213, or you can contact us via email at .
Faculty-mentored undergraduate research projects at Edison State College date to the 1990s, with the creation of the Honors Scholar Program. Each student admitted to this rigorous academic corps must write and present a research thesis that reflects sound scholarly inquiry and conclusive results. More than 70 students have presented Honors Scholar theses since, on topics ranging from Fractals to the Effects of Prenatal Sound. Each manuscript is held on reserve in the Edison State College library.
